Language Center F.I.E.L.D.ってどんなところ？
通ってくださっている子供たちとそのご家族、そして地域のみなさんへ。
おかげさまで、もうすぐ開業して2年目を迎えます。
2年間の間に受講生も増えて、教室前が子供たちの明るい声でにぎやかになってきたからか、
「カフェ？ん、塾？」「なにしてるところ？」とよくお声掛けいただけるようになりました。
そこで改めて「Language Center F.I.E.L.D.ってどんなところ？」というご質問に
ちょっぴり（？）ディープにお答えするべく、こちらに書きました。

① 新しい言語を学んで、未来の扉を開こう！
新しい言語を学ぶことは、世界を見る新たな視点を知ることです。新しい言語の学習を通して、あなたを取り巻く環境やあなた自身への見方が変われば、あなたの中に新しい「あなた」が育ちます。さらに豊かな「あなたの未来」を創造することになるでしょう。
Language Center F.I.E.L.D.は、 第二言語学習の専門的な観点からあなたの能力と成長を的確に分析し、言語能力の向上だけでなく、目標や興味に寄り添った学習を提供します。
単なる学校のお勉強の枠を超えて言語を学ぶことで、より積極的に学び、自分たちの将来が新たな可能性へとつながっていくことを感じられます。
②対話の酸いも甘いも楽しもう！
対話とは、自分を理解してもらい、他者を理解することです。目の前の相手と“聞いて、話して、考えて、協力して”と大忙しです。母語であっても大変な作業ですから、慣れない言葉での対話であれば、その大変さはひとしおです。試行錯誤の連続である対話は、時として歯がゆいものです。
では、なぜこのような大変なことを私たち人間はするのでしょう。それは、対話を通して新しい人やものと出会いたいからです。対話の中で味わった伝わらない悔しさや分かりあえた嬉しさは学習を続ける原動力となります。Language Center F.I.E.L.D.は、講師や仲間と協力しながら、対話することに喜びを感じられる空間を提供します。
③自他を尊重する心を持って、自分を発信しよう！
新しい言語を学び、多様な文化や考え方に触れる中で、「みんな個性的なのだ」と改めて感じることができます。グローバル化が進む現代において、自分とはちがう他者を敬う姿勢や理解しようとする態度が欠かせません。しかし同時に、この世に一人しかいない自分の意見や気持ちも大切なものだと認識し、相手に伝わるように言葉で発信していくことも大切なことです。
なぜなら、お互いが自分自身を表現してこそ、本当の相互理解に繋がり、よりよい関係を築くことができるからです。そのような対話の積み重ねができれば、私たちはより幸せで、思いやりのある世界を作っていくことができます。
Language Center F.I.E.L.D.は、実際に他者に耳を傾けたり自分について語ったりする経験を通して、自分を表現するための言葉と心を育む機会を提供します。

① Inspire your future through language
Learning a new language opens your eyes to a new way of seeing the world. When your view of the world changes, you can see yourself in a new light too. With a broadening perspective, you and your future can change for the better.
In Language Center F.I.E.L.D., we will analyze your language abilities and growth over time. We will then provide lessons that not only improve your skills, but also build upon your interests and goals. Language is more than just a tool for school. We believe that by incorporating students’ interests, they will be more motivated to learn and will discover how learning new languages can open their futures to new possibilities.
② Embrace the frustrating and the fun parts of conversation
Conversation is how we make ourselves understood and how we come to understand others. It is a multitasking activity of listening, speaking, thinking, and collaborating. While this can be challenging sometimes in your own language, trying in an unfamiliar language is another level of tricky. Such a conversation is full of trial and error and can be frustrating.
So why do we do it? It is an opportunity to connect with new people and learn new things. These encounters can inspire a sense of excitement that motivate you to learn more. In Language Center F.I.E.L.D., we will create a fun environment for you to discover the joy of conversations through working together with teachers and peers.
③ Learn to embrace and express
When you learn a new language and discover different cultures and perspective, it highlights your uniqueness.
In this globalizing modern world, it is essential for everyone to learn how to understand and respect others. At the same time, it is just as important to express your own feelings and thoughts to others so that they can understand you too. We want to encourage everyone to recognize the validity of their own thoughts and feelings as well as that of others. What you bring to a conversation is unique. Only when both people express themselves can then truly come to understand each other. That is what builds good relationships. If we can all do that, we can create a happier and more compassionate world.
In Language Center F.I.E.L.D., we will provide the language, practice, and opportunity for you to express yourself.
